Apologies...Forgive me a broken hearted rant

Why do good things happen to beautiful people?
Why do beautiful people get hurt in horrible ways?
I'm not a beautiful person but I do love some beautiful people.
Why can't my love lessen their pain or protect them from horrible things?
If this could have been me or I could have stopped it with a word, thought or action I would have.
Why did this happen ??? I'M VERY ANGRY and I WISH IT WAS JUST A DREAM, a nightmare, a misunderstanding BUT IT ISN'T
